The 18th Annual Golf Tournament, Brought to you by the Pomerantz Foundation

The Pomerantz Foundation has been organizing an annual golf tournament for 18 years, benefiting organizations that support children with different needs.

Here is why the Pomerantz Foundation’s golf tournaments continue to gain in popularity year after year:

  • Because all profits from all Pomerantz Foundation golf tournaments are donated to organizations whose mission is to assist children with different needs and their families. To date, the Pomerantz Foundation has contributed over $7,500,000 to various organizations that support children with special needs.
  • Because the tournament organization is impeccable!
  • “Because you don’t have to be a great golfer. We just need your good spirits, generosity, and empathy for the children who need our help to live life to the fullest. At our tournament, even a fantastic golfer would struggle to concentrate given all the fun we have!” (Terry Pomerantz)
  • All participants agree: “Pomerantz Foundation tournaments are an absolute blast!”
  • “Because these children with special needs absolutely need your generosity.” (Terry Pomerantz)

Sponsors

A golf tournament of the magnitude of the one organized by the Pomerantz Foundation could not take place without the help of dedicated supporters for children with special needs. “There are nearly 30 sponsors active at the 18th Annual Golf Tournament held by the Pomerantz Foundation. Thanks to their generosity and creativity, participants will be delighted with surprises throughout the event, not to mention the arcade games that will add excitement to the evening!” (Terry Pomerantz)

Volunteers

A small army of nearly 100 volunteers works on organizing the Pomerantz Foundation’s annual tournament. The tournament’s popularity is largely due to their dedication. At daybreak, the team from Sun Youth is already busy welcoming sponsors, assisting with the set-up of kiosks and equipment, organizing refreshment stands for the golfers, and preparing go-karts and the welcome desk for guests.

Throughout the tournament and evening, other volunteers ensure that every single one of the 288 participants’ needs are met. Their only concern: that everyone has fun!

“The volunteers’ dedication is remarkable! They are at work long before the first golfers arrive and many stay late into the evening. It is our duty, and that of all Pomerantz Foundation administrators, that every single volunteer is treated as well as the golfers are. Without these women and men who give their time, skills and heart, Pomerantz Foundation golf tournaments would not be as successful!” (Terry Pomerantz)

The Goal of the Pomerantz Foundation’s 18th Tournament

This year, once again, organizers are hoping that the Pomerantz Foundation’s annual tournament will reach $150,000 in benefits.

Which organizations will benefit from the generosity of the 2025 golf tournament participants?

  • Le Phare, Children and Families, whose mission is to provide palliative care for children suffering from conditions limiting their life expectancy. In addition to offering these children care focused on their needs, Le Phare provides their families with support, respite and bereavement follow-up.
  • AlterGo, whose mission is to mobilize the persons with disabilities community, partners, and policymakers to foster a more inclusive society where individuals with functional limitations are recognized as full citizens.
